Tomasi Tikoibua Delana
Mr Tomasi Tikoibua Delana is the Project Manager for Pacific Blue Foundation. Tomasi hails from Raviravi Village in Beqa Island. He leads and is responsible for all implementations of projects in the Beqa-Yanuca Seascape, along the Beqa Lagoon Initiative. Tomasi hails from Raviravi Village in Beqa. Tomasi brings with him over 15 years of experience and extensive skills in community-based natural resource management and tropical coastal sciences. He has also coordinated and managed several funded community-based projects in the past years. These projects include marine conservation, fisheries management, climate change and adaptation projects. Before joining PBF, Mr. Tikoibua worked for Conservation International – Fiji program, as the Marine Project Coordinator, on the Lau Seascape Initiative, and as a senior Science officer with Institute of Applied Science, at the University of the South Pacific. Tomasi brings with him extensive experience and skill sets that will be valuable to the team, the BYS and the overall operations of PBF in working towards a seascape approach in Beqa Lagoon. He holds a Master of Science in Marine Science from the University of the South Pacific, Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Studies and a certified Coral Reef researcher and scuba diver.
